Ten months into this thing called parenting, I’ve come to the conclusion that toys aren’t needed:
I scatter the toys over the living room floor and shake the rattle incessantly. He crawls for the remote. I replace the remote with plastic keys, shaking to [...] From the Land of The Sniffles, I present you with one teething baby, 458 gallons of drool, a teething fever, surprise sneezes for those even half-heartedly interested, a continuously growing email inbox that I can’t maintain, and one perpetually self-depleting toy box. (Side note: Why is it that I find myself refilling the toy box [...] During last week’s snow-a-thon, I was inspired to have a little fun. To the front yard, we lugged an unused snowman kit, Pierson, and his Exersaucer. We set to work.
We quickly realized that this snow wasn’t packing snow. [...] Procrastinators of the world unite! Here’s a fun Valentine’s idea! I will use this when Pierson is older. LOVE IT! Here is why my valentine, Michael, will live to be 112 years old. Michael does not know ‘boredom.’ I love creative people & [...] I asked Michael to take lots of pictures for me as I conferencized last weekend. Let’s just say that he CLEARLY went over and above the call of duty. From the pictures, I’m wondering just who had more fun!
