Thursday’s To-Do’s #4

With holiday weekend & company in town, I majorly failed on my Thursday’s To-Do’s this week…but I’m picking up my failure pieces and this is a new week (some goals carried over from last week).

By next Thursday, I will:
1. Write my Grandparents.
2. Edit Pictures.
3. Blog twice.
4. Write H Family.
5. Make announcement.
6. Work 1 hour on organizing pictures on computer.
7. Remeasure house and send email with measurements.
8. Browse through the books I got at the library.
9. Look for sconces for bathroom renovation.
10. Thoroughly clean my desk at work. (cleaned but not thoroughly.)

Thursday’s To-Do’s #3

By next Thursday, I will:
1. Email JJ.
2. Email BB.
3. Meet a new friend. (postponed)
4. Edit Pictures.
5. Blog twice.
6. Clean bathroom floor.
7. Make freezer meal for friend.
8. Make announcement.
9. Paint my toenails.
10. Work 1 hour on organizing pictures on computer.

Thursday’s To-Do’s Volume 2

Here’s my Thursday’s To-Do list. By next Thursday I plan to do the following 10 things.

1. Write a letter to my grandma.
2. Put 1 items on craigslist.
3. Research home improvement options.
4. Watch Survivor Finale.

5. Dust my fans.
6. Try One new recipe.

7. Write 5 more thank you notes.
8. Take “Before Pictures.”
9. Look for a pair of black sandals.

10. Look for 20 more things to get rid of.

Resolution Fail

I’m failing miserably at my New Year’s Goals.

Set monthly goals–Failure (mostly)
Be more organized person–Failure
Love my family–Working on it.
Be grateful–Needing much improvement.
Be creative–Sigh.

I have lots of work to do! Though I’ve exercised a ton more this year, yeah me! But I have a lot of work to go in every other area…AND I’m already 5/12 of the way through the year!!! EEK!!!

May Goals:
1. Exercise Regularly. 8 skips allowed this month. Any more than that, each skipped day is $5 a day paid to my sister.
2. Thursday To-Do Lists.
3. Organize my work area & binder.
4. Sort thru Pierson’s clothes, etc.

Here’s my Thursday’s To-Do list. By next Thursday I plan to do the following 10 things.
1. Write a letter to my grandma.
2. Find 20 things to donate.
3. Organize & Buy for Operation Gift.
4. Plan a 30 second spiel.
5. Mail game to recipients.
6. Write and send thank yous.
7. Send Sterling money for 2 days exercise skipping.
8. Make Cookies or Bread as a thank you to a couple friends.
9. Put two items on craigslist.
10. Take items to thrift store for donation.

9 out of 10–Not bad!

Here’s my FAIL PROOF EXERCISE PLAN that worked wonders for me last month!!!

  • My mom was my accountability partner.
  • We set a goal to exercise every day with 3 skips.
  • If one of us missed after our allotted skips, we had to drop $5 bucks in the mail to the other person, no questions asked. Being EL CHEAPO, I wasn’t about to have to give up my moolah!!!

It worked perfectly! We’re modifying it again for the month of February, though this time we’re adding some eating goals, too. It’s discouraging to exercise all month and not see results… cough…cough…because one eats as if all food on earth is expected to suddenly vanish. Been there. Done that.

Resolutions Revisited: How Am I Doing?
1. Set monthly goals (and reach them) See below.
2. Be a more organized person (by making lots and lots of lists). I make great lists, but I’m working on follow-through.
3. Love on my family (through words and demonstration). Work in Progress.
4. Be grateful for the blessings I’ve been given (write notes & express gratitude). In January, I didn’t fail completely, but lots of work to go.

January’s Goals Revisited: How Am I Doing?
1. Exercise every day (only 3 skips allowed). I made it!!
2. Journal/blog at least twice each week.. Check!
3. LKeep a cleaner cubicle (at work). Check!
4. PURGE more clutter!. Check!  One donation run & another is in the works.
5. Make smarter food choices. Need to do better.  I’ll be tweaking my February goals to reflect this.
Make one craft-y/decorative item. Work in progress.  I’ll be working towards its completion this month.
