Etsy!

February 10, 2011 by Maren 4 Comments

I’m always jealous of artsy-craftsy people who come up with a lot of cute projects and find time to do so!  Right now between work, diapers, sleep and exhaustion, the extent of my artiness is mastering a glue gun to hold up a kid’s basketball net.  Seriously.

My friend, Lisa, has just started the cutest etsy store!  She makes porcelain earrings and jewelry!!!  Not only does she have a cute product, but adorable presentation too!  Need a fabulous gift???  You must check her out! http://www.etsy.com/shop/LeafandFeather

Don’t you just LOVE?!?!?

A Little Linky Love

March 14, 2010 by Maren Leave a Comment

This past week was a doozy. I’ll leave you with a linky-love to brighten your Monday.

Here’s the best example of a Rube Goldberg that I’ve ever seen.

Pierson’s got a Baby Einstein toy that plays Für Elise.  If you’re my age, you probably can’t hear that song without thinking of this commercial. Either a brilliant advertising choice…or an annoying one.

If you love looking at photography like I do (and drooling over other’s talents), make sure you’re acquainted with this site. If any of the photos strike your fancy, click on the link below to see more.

Cool idea if you were getting married any time soon…

Are your kids bored?  I’m in love with this little one’s creativity.

I wish I had the bravery and dreaming capabilities of this 16 year old girl, currently SAILING SOLO AROUND THE WORLD.

Have a great week!

Hodgepodge of Love

February 12, 2010 by Maren 2 Comments

Procrastinators of the world unite!  Here’s a fun Valentine’s idea!  I will use this when Pierson is older.  LOVE IT!

Here is why my valentine, Michael, will live to be 112 years old.  Michael does not know ‘boredom.’

I love creative people & wish I took more time to be so. Love this word art.

With it being Valentine’s Day on Sunday, I’ve been thinking about Love of my Life #2.  At this time last year, he’d yet to make his appearance into my life.  And I had yet to fully realize the love that would soon overtake my heart.  One year ago, we were anticipating!  Today, we celebrate!  God has been good and our hearts are full!

I’m really anticipating the Olympics!  On this day, 16 years ago, the Lillehammer Olympics began.  Most Americans were still captivated by this crazy story.

I asked Michael for a copy of ‘The Shred‘ for Valentine’s Day.  The copy I currently have is hyper-finicky.  You’ll be doing these crazy, killer plank moves and then all of the sudden, Jillian Michaels freezes.  It’s hard enough for me to exercise regularly let alone even get into a plank position in the first place.  Combine that with a stuttering exercise dvd, and you get one extremely impatient flabby girl.  Just doesn’t cut it. *Please note: Unless your spouse ASKS for an EXERCISE VIDEO for Valentine’s Day like I did, it’s probably not the best gift idea.  Just saying.

And lastly in this hodgepodge of rambling love, a quote by Howard Thurman about passion that I heard this past weekend at Blissdom.  LOVE IT.

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

ADORABLE…
