My cat, the artist…
So, for you Cedarville grads that have seen the sculpture at Cedarville called “Opened Eyes,” I liked it. It depicts the fall of Adam. Here’s a picture:
So, anyway…last night my cat… being his usual psycho self… knocked over my Willow Tree statue that was given to Michael and I for our wedding. First of all, did you know those weren’t made of wood?!??! They’re plastic. Sorry if you thought they were wood!
Upon careful inspection of the destruction, I noticed that, in its own way, he had replicated the statue quite well…it deserved a xanga. So, here’s to my cat, THE ARTIST!
I hope that THIS artwork isn’t symbolic of anything! 🙂
In other stuff…Here’s pics from a day hike we took yesterday in Indiana at Brown County State Park. Fun times with our friends…BEAUTIFUL DAY!
Cheerio!
Excitement!
Oh, how fun it was to be with family and friends at the Cedarville Homecoming this past weekend! We had such a great time mingling with college friends and spending time with family! I couldn’t have imagined a nicer day. Last year at the soccer game, I about FROZE. So, I dressed accordingly this year, and was scalding HOT! Good thing I’m not a meterologist by occupation. I’d have people dressing in shorts in winter and bundled up in the summer. Thankfully, I had the foresight to forego the long john’s I had brought along! Michael even got a sunburn–go figure…IN OCTOBER! We just had an absolute BLAST!
Sunday, then, I travelled to see my friend Brooke. We had Monday off, so we both spent the evening chatting and slept in. SO much fun! THANK YOU, Brooke! She’s so patient…I made her sit through a photo shoot to get this picture…Love ya, girl!
Vacation!!!
So, we just got back from a vacation…the most FABULOUS, most relaxing, most enjoyable time ever. A few highlights and some “firsts” from the trip that I’d like to share… Randomness, but craziness…First, Michael caught a fish as you can see by the slideshow above. He didn’t do much thinking about where he’d place a fish after he made his catch…After quick thinking, he shoved it into HIS POCKET (with a zipper). He kept it wet by dipping himself in the freezing cold water. It was actually MY fleece jacket. Don’t know if I’ll ever be able to wear it again. Ewwwwwww…But, I enjoyed a huge laugh. Gotta love him!
Another “first” was to experience an elk pee in nature. Lovely. I’m sure she’d have rather me take a picture of something else, but she didn’t seem to mind too much. Personally, I think the park rangers secretly & strategically plant the wildlife so tourists like me can get some good snapshots of their trips to the Great Smoky Mountains.
Another “first” was to see a bear with her cub in nature. The bear climbed down the tree which was interesting to watch. Apparently the black bear enjoys relaxing up in trees. Another “plant” by the park rangers, I’m sure! LOL.
And lastly…You know how some people see sightings of the Virgin Mary in random things, such as french toast? Not me…I see pigs. On a road block barrel, the paint had chipped away to form a striking resemblance to an animal…whatta you think? 🙂
Okay, so here’s to randomness and a great vacation! Cheerio!
